University Community Health was created to reflect the combined strength and unity that has now been achieved through the union of
University Community Hospital
,
University Community Hospital-Carrollwood
, and
Pepin Heart Hospital & Dr. Kiran C. Patel Research Institute
in Tampa, and
Helen Ellis Memorial Hospital
in Tarpon Springs. In 2009, we welcomed the newest member of the University Community Health family when the
Long Term Acute Care Hospital at Connerton
opened in central Pasco County.
The network offers patients a deep, broad range of quality services while retaining the convenience, friendliness, and accessibility of the local hospitals. By sharing resources, technology, and knowledge, we are able to provide for the health care needs of the community.
Our symbol was created to exemplify the affiliation and to unify the hospitals as one organization. The symbol embodies many things. A blue rectangle is intersected by four human figures. Four figures that not only represent the four hospitals that originally formed the system, but more importantly, figures that are actively reaching out beyond the rectangle – symbolizing the dynamic integration of University Community Health within the life of the community. The interlocking structure and precision of the figures communicate strength and clinical expertise, core elements that we are recognized for. The figures aren’t static; they’re dynamic, active and balanced. Even the colors reflect our strategy, blue for trust and reliability, and crimson for life and approachability.
University Community Health, like its symbol, represents a promise to deliver high quality health care with clinical expertise and personalized attention to our community.
