University Community Health is a regional not-for-profit health care provider in Hillsborough, Pasco, and Pinellas
Counties. Our clinical leadership is demonstrated in diabetes care; cardiovascular care; women’s health; pediatric care; comprehensive emergency services; cancer care; and surgical services specializing in orthopaedic, general, and vascular surgery.
Our team is represented by a voluntary Board of Trustees; a clinically balanced medical staff; an Auxiliary program of more than 400 volunteers; a professional administrative and management support group; and a top-notch employee base representing every clinical discipline. Every member of our team practices our day-to-day duties because we care.
While our hospital campuses are beautiful with modern buildings and well-manicured landscape, the most significant part of our history has been the outstanding service of our University Community Health team, especially our employees.
As we have grown to be a regional leader in health care, new relationships have been established. Clinically, our affiliation with the University of South Florida medical school in the areas of cardiac care, orthopaedic services, and dermatology services result both in graduate medical education and research initiatives extending well beyond the Tampa Bay area.
Our new relationship with the Adventist Health System to construct and develop a medical campus in Wesley Chapel will allow the expansion of health care to a growing population. This relationship with another not-for-profit health care provider will strengthen our clinical presence in the Tampa Bay market.
Business partnerships we have evolved include a strategic business alliance with GE Healthcare to establish advanced clinical technology and information technology to improve the delivery of patient care and safety. In addition, a long-standing affiliation with Voluntary Hospitals of America, representing 1,400 not-for-profit hospitals nationwide, allows us to share intellectual resources to improve operating performance in clinical and non-clinical areas.
We recognize and thank all the members of our team and our business partners, who have made University Community Health the success it is today.
Sincerely,
Norm Stein
