Center For Cancer Care
The Center For Cancer Care at University Community Hospital in Tampa, Florida, provides patients with comprehensive oncology services in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer. With our multi-disciplinary approach to cancer care, each patient is assessed by a team of physicians in the areas of pathology, diagnostics, surgery, radiation therapy and chemotherapy. Our oncology certified nurses, clinical nurse specialists, social workers, dietitians, pharmacists and educators are key members of our care team.

Another major focus of our Center For Cancer Care is an outpatient radiation therapy department that has been nationally recognized for its medical staff, high technology equipment and innovation in treatment. It is a leader in brachytherapy, which is used to fight specific tumors in the body, and a national leader in the use of palladium seed implants to fight prostate cancer.

Patient education and support groups enhance care for children and adults. The Center For Cancer Care also supports a low-cost mammography screening program offered through The Women's Center at UCH.

On our 24-bed inpatient unit, care is given by Clinical Nurse Specialists and oncology and chemotherapy-certified RNs, along with LPNs and nurse assistants. The Center For Cancer Care offers radiation therapy (IMRT & BAT), chemotherapy, and general and oncologic surgical services.

Outpatient diagnostic services offered by the Center For Cancer Care inclue diagnostic mammograms, diagnostic radiology, diagnostic imaging (MRI and CT), and ultrasound. For more information about Imaging Services, click here.
