A special quarterly support group is held for people on insulin pumps.

Glucosensor
This technology is used for analysis of blood glucose trends and adjustments of medication for better therapeutic management of blood glucose. The patient wears a sensor with a catheter inserted into the abdomen. The sensor monitors and records blood sugars every five minutes for 72 hours. Data from the sensor is then downloaded. The blood glucose readings along with information the patient records, such as meals and exercise, will be evaulated and forwarded to the patient's physician for follow-up.

Medical Management
Endocrinologists and Nurse Practitioners at DCI use established standards of care to treat and manage diabetes. In addition to diabetes, we also treat other endocrine diseases, such as thyroid abnormalities.
