Exercise is crucial to the management of diabetes. Regular physical activity, even if it is moderate exercise, can help you take control of your diabetes in a number of ways, including:

The Diabetes & Endocrinology Institute presents an exercise program that focuses on taking control of your diabetes. We offer a supervised program that is personalized to your needs in a friendly, comfortable environment. Our exercise equipment includes treadmills, stationary bikes, elliptical machines, seated stair climbers, upper body ergometers, rowing machines, and free weights
What you need to start the exercise program:

Written approval from your physician

An initial exercise consultation (call (813) 615-7750 to schedule one)

A blood glucose monitor

A good pair of walking shoes
A regular exercise routine is an important element in the management of your diabetes. The exercise program is just one part of the Diabetes & Endocrinology Institute's multi-disciplinary approach to help you take control of your health. Cost for the exercise program is $35 per month, plus a one-time registration fee of $75.
