Pediatric Sleep Medicine
The Pediatric Sleep Medicine Program is an integral part of The Sleep Center at University Community Hospital. Until recently, little was known about the mysteries of sleep and sleep disorders. Thanks to advancements in medical research and technology, University Community Hospital offers facilities equipped to uncover the sleep disorders that can disturb a child’s sleep. The pediatric service offers diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders that specifically affect children.

Types of sleep disorders include Sleep Apnea, Narcolepsy, Restless Leg Syndrome, Insufficient Sleep, Medication-Associated Sleepiness, Sleep Walking, REM Sleep Behavior Disorder, Night Terrors, Confusional Arousal, Nocturnal Enuresis (Bed Wetting), Benign Neonatal Sleep Myoclonus, Sudden Infant Death Syndrome, Cheyne-Stokes Respiration, Central Sleep Apnea, Central Alveolar, Hypoventilation Syndrome, and Insomnia.
