Childbirth Education
Congratulations on the upcoming birth of your baby! We invite you to participate in the educational classes offered by The Women’s Center. Our instructors include certified registered nurses and other allied health professionals with experience
in maternal and newborn care. Plan to complete your childbirth preparation classes by week 36 or 37 of your pregnancy. To get a childbirth education class that is appropriate for your due date, register as soon as you know you are pregnant. Classes are conveniently scheduled throughout the week and select weekends.

Enrollment & Fees
All classes require registration and payment prior to attendance. You should register as soon as you learn you are pregnant or decide you want to take a specific class. If you have a disability or special learning needs, which may require accommodation, please notify us at the time of registration.

The Parent Review: News for New and Expecting Parents

The Family Resource Corner
The Women's Center has teamed up with the Child Abuse Council to offer the Family Resource Corner. At this extensive website, parents and parents-to-be can enhance existing parenting skills and help build other positive, constructive skills to help gain the building blocks for successful parenting.

The Women's Center Library
The Women's Center Library is located on the first floor of The Women's Center and offers a comprehensive collection of books, videotapes and pamphlets on all aspects of women's health for patients, staff, and community members. Among the topics covered in the library are pregnancy, labor and delivery, breastfeeding, child rearing, osteoporosis, gynecological surgery, menopause, and women's health concerns regardless of age. A medical librarian is available to assist with locating information from outside sources. The library also has a collection of current magazines on parenting.
