Urinary Incontinence Surgery
Urinary incontinence or the leaking of urine is very common in women and is treatable. Depending on the cause of your incontinence, your doctor may recommend surgery, and there are a number of different surgeries that can be performed to correct your particular problem. Some of these procedures require an abdominal incision and a recovery time of a few weeks.

Colporrhaphy: Anterior and Posterior Repair (vaginal repair) a procedure to correct hernias of the pelvis including relaxation of the bladder (cystocele) or rectum (rectocele).

MMK (Marshall Marchetti Kranz): A tightening of the ligaments to the bladder.

Burch procedure: The placement of stitches to help support the bladder.

Pubo vaginal sling: The creation of a sling that supports the bladder.

TVT: A mesh tape inserted through the vagina to support the urethra.
