Work Related Injury Treatment
The Initial Visit
During the initial visit, a treatment plan is devloped utilizing clinical pathways and medical guidelines, ensuring appropriate and efficient care with the ultimate goal of returning the employee back to work quickly. To help facilitate the process, a combination of transitional duty, follow-up visits and physical therapy may be used.
Instructions for Initial Medical Treatment

Call the clinic to schedule an appointment time. Employees requiring immediate treatment can be accomodated on a walk-in basis, a notification phone call to the clinic is appreciated. Scheduled appointments help reduce wait times for non-emergent injuries.

Complete the "OHS Services Requested" form along with the "Notice of Injury" form. Send these with the employee or fax both forms to the clinic. Please include your insurer's information and claim number, if available.
Communication & Coordination
Immediate and thorough communication is provided with the use of "Ability to Work" reports. OHS Care Coordinators communicate with your insurer and assist with referral authorizations to physician specialists, such as orthopaedic surgeons. Our physicians regularly communicate with the company representatives to discuss strategies for the safest and quickest return to work.
